Euro Groove Department, power trio made in Italy formato da Daniele Gregolin (chitarre e voce), Marco Maggiore (batteria e voce) e Luca Scansani al basso, a 5 anni dalla pubblicazione del disco di esordio "Optical Illusion" acclamato dalla stampa come disco strumentale rivelazione nel panorama internazionale, torna all’attivo con un DVD live che testimonia la loro attuale splendida forma dopo una lunga tournée internazionale.
Euro Groove Department si erano fatti conoscere con il loro sound oltre che per le incredibili doti dei singoli musicisti, per l’equilibrio musicale del trio che riesce ad amalgamare sonorità rock a spinte funk, sino a toccare jazz d’avanguardia sperimentazione e addirittura progressive.
Questo DVD live racchiude le tracce tratte dal loro debut album in versione estesa, ed in anteprima, due brani inediti, “Shark Attack!” Ed “Acesulfame K”, che saranno presenti nel prossimo disco attualmente in lavorazione.
La presenza del leggendario Michael Manring in “Alya” e in “Sweeping the dust…” (affianco alla fascinosa voce di Jaqueline Perkins) e nella performance

The band has become notorious thanks to their sound and the incredible technical skills of the single members, for the balance that greatly merges rock with spite-funk, cutting edge jazz and even progressive. The DVD contains extended tracks from their first album and also two previews, as the unreleased tracks "Shark Attack!" and "Acesulfame K", which will be part of the new album actually in production. Michael Manring, one of the greatest contemporary bass players, plays the bass in the track "Aliya" and with Jaqueline Perkins and her fascinating voice in "Sweeping the dust", and also in "The enormous room" - a bass solo. His bass fills the concert and testify the high level of the Euro Groove Department. |
